Our club has published, regularly updates, and manages a large number of orienteering maps in the Turnov area and its surroundings. If you are interested in training or organizing a training camp using our maps, feel free to contact us. These instructions also apply to borrowing maps owned by the SOK TJ Turnov club (TUV).
How to obtain maps
Choose the maps you are interested in (see map below or ČSOS Map Portal).
Fill out the map loan request or send an email to mapy@tur.cz. You will receive detailed instructions, a price list, and payment information.
In case of organizing a training with a larger group within the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area (hereinafter as PLA), you must notify the PLA administration and, if required, request a permit. In such cases, we will provide a contact or further instructions.
Course setting guidelines
The courses must avoid restricted areas (1st zones of the PLA, private land, PLA quiet zones, or newly reforested clearings). Controls must be placed with consideration for nature and must not be located on clearings, feeding sites, or hunting stands.
Cars must be parked only in official parking areas or designated spots. Please follow all traffic laws and regulations. Suitable parking locations can be found in the map below.
Control markings must be temporary and removed from the forest immediately after training (including paper ribbons)!
Running in any type of footwear with metal spikes is strictly prohibited in sandstone terrains within the PLA!
